Mobile and Wireless Networks (IEEE 802.11-based)
Project Overview
We took a two-pronged approach to providing
QoS support in wireless networks. The first is at the connection level which deals with admission control, handoffs, and graceful degradation of connection
QoS in case of overload and failures. The second is at the packet level which is concerned with packet scheduling, weighted fairness (bandwidth and airtime), throughput performance, energy consumption, and etc., all in the context of existing and emerging standards like Bluetooth and IEEE 802.11.
