MSE in Computer Science & Engineering @ University of Michigan (Ann Arbor)
BS in Computer Science & Engineering @ University of California (Davis)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm a graduate student at the University of Michigan, Computer Science and Engineering department.
I am a member of the Real-Time Computing Lab, and I work under professor Shin's guidance.
I received my master's degree in CSE on 2008, and I am currently preparing to move on to a different branch in academia.
I'm currently working on an end-to-end task chain simulation tool. (see Project section)
I have too many hobbies and too little time. I cherish all my hobbies since they are the breathing hole of my life when I'm buried under the pile of research works... I enjoy:
::Cooking ::Photography ::Dancing (any kind... :D) ::Singing (again, any kind...) ::Driving ::Listening to music ::Playing guitar ::Traveling ::Watching movies ::Following fashion trends
Time spent in distress is time wasted. I'm blessed with many interesting people in my life, and I record & share the footprints of my life here:
:::: I was born in the States when my parents were graduate students here.
:::: My family moved to Korea (yes, south...) when I was 6, and I spent all my awkward stages there.
:::: I came back to America right after graduating from high school, and attended CCSF. That is where I met my beautiful wife.
:::: I worked at KFC for a semester. Fun experience with a lot of free food! Not so good for my health, though...
:::: Transferred to UCD, and got my BS degree in CSE.
:::: Worked at IDAV for a short while. My first academic internship!
:::: I also worked at LBNL for a while. It was just a great experience! (Thank you, professor Joy for the reference!)
:::: Came to UM for the master's program in CSE. I spent a horrible first semester, constantly feeling stupid. I survived... (parts of me, anyway...)
:::: I joined professor Shin's lab (RTCL).
:::: Got married to my wife on 2007! Had three weddings all around the world (SF, Korea, and Taiwan). She's all worth it. ;)
:::: Got my MSE in CSE (sorry about the abbreviations...) in 2008.
:::: My first son, Aiden, was born on Mar 6th, 2009; same day as his mom's birthday!!
:::: Currently, finishing up a project of developing a distributed real-time scheduler simulator. I'm preparing for a new course of my career life, also.
